Summer Dance Series


Explore the world of dance with YLB's own Jen Lehaney, faculty at the University of Akron School of Dance. No experience is necessary; just bring your open mind, learn how to move your body, and get in great shape at the same time!

Each week we'll focus on a different dance style. Drop in to those you're interested in, or sign up for the whole series for a discount!

June 13 & 15: Ballet - Take a basic ballet class! Learn fluidity and soft movement. Bare feet, sox, or ballet slippers recommended.

June 20 & 22: Jazz - Speed things up a bit with some basic jazz technique, dancing to Broadway and current pop music. Bare feet, sox, or ballet or jazz shoes recommended.

June 27 & 29: Hip-Hop: Get funky! We'll explore basic hip-hop movement and style. Hip-Hop or athletic shoes recommended (please no shoes worn outdoors).

Suggested attire is anything you can move in.
