These clinics will break down familiar asanas (poses) and help participants to understand their function. Participants will receive individual guidance to help make postures more accessible, more productive and more valuable for their unique needs.
Backbends are used in yoga to strengthen the back body and open the front body. This reciprocal relationship provides balance between poise and empathy, confidence and humility. Backbends invigorate the nervous system and help open the body for ease in breathing. Participants will explore the general alignment “rules” for backbends and explore them in the following poses: Locust, Bow, Camel, Bridge, Wheel, Fish.
