Yoga for Runners builds targeted strength and flexibility to maximize your race conditioning, prepare you physically and mentally to achieve your run goals, and feel your best. Whether you’re running for a PR, a first relay leg, or just for fun... this series is the perfect addition to your training. Include this series to train smarter and prep for an injury free season.

Running requires stabilizing strength in the core and lower body, as well as mobility in the hips, hamstrings…even shoulders!  We will work on building strength while lengthening the muscles to relieve tension and find expansion, especially for the hips, lungs, and heart.  The series is designed to provide you with an informative runner specialized yoga flow during training, a taper flow the week of the race and a post-race recovery practice to help soothe and relax the muscles that just carried you across the finish line.

Krista is an experienced runner (from 5ks to a full marathon) and recognizes the benefits that yoga can have for runners, through not only strength and mobility, but through the incorporation of rest and recovery. You do not need to be an experienced runner or signed up for the Akron races to take any part of this series. ;)
